Information collected depends on how you use the Service and whether you sign in.

• Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, and sign-in method (Apple, Google, or email).
• Profile data: optional name you provide.
• Onboarding answers: responses to onboarding questions (stored locally first and synced after sign-in).
• Prayer flow data: selected need, feeling and relationship scores, unlock mode and duration, prayer text/verse if enabled, and session timing used to calculate streaks.
• Activity data: shield on/off activity and streak summaries.
• Subscription data: entitlement status and purchase metadata from Apple/Google via RevenueCat.
• Analytics events: app screen views and key product events (for example, onboarding steps, sign-in, and subscription events).
• Diagnostics: crash logs and performance signals to help us fix issues.

3. Screen Time Permissions

Pray Pause uses Apple Screen Time APIs to shield selected apps and prompt you to pray before access. This is a device-level permission you can grant or revoke in your iOS settings.

• We do not access the content of other apps.
• App selections and lock state are processed on-device to enforce your chosen focus ritual.

4. How We Use Information

• Provide, personalize, and maintain the Service.
• Sync your profile, onboarding, and prayer flow data.
• Calculate streaks and session summaries.
• Process subscriptions and entitlements.
• Improve performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Respond to support requests.

5. How We Share Information

We share data with service providers that help us operate the Service. Examples include:

• Convex for backend hosting and data storage.
• Amplitude for analytics and event tracking.
• Sentry for crash reporting and diagnostics.
• RevenueCat for subscription management.
• Apple / Google for authentication and billing services you opt into.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Data Storage and Security

We store data on our backend and use secure storage mechanisms on your device (such as iOS Keychain/SecureStore) for authentication tokens. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is 100% secure.

7. Your Choices

• You can update your profile name and preferences in the app.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device’s store settings.
• You can delete your account from the app settings.
• You can revoke Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

8. Data Retention

We retain account and usage data as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove associated personal data within a reasonable period, subject to legal or operational requirements.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

10. International Transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of information in these locations.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the Service or by other means.
