Terms of Service

1. Who We Are

Pray Pause is a faith-first focus ritual that helps you pause before you scroll. The Service helps you select distracting apps, requires a short prayer flow, and then unlocks selected apps for a limited time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Accounts and Authentication

To access certain features, you may need an account. We support sign-in with Apple, Google, or email-based authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Permissions and App Blocking

Pray Pause uses Apple Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls and ManagedSettings) to shield selected apps and prompt you to return to Pray Pause before access. You can enable or disable these permissions at any time in device settings.

• We do not access the content of other apps or your activity within those apps.
• App selections and lock states are processed on-device and used to enforce your chosen focus ritual.
• The Service cannot guarantee that device or system restrictions will work perfectly at all times.

5. Prayer Content and Experience

The Service provides short, scripture-rooted prayers based on your selections (such as mood or need). The Service is not medical, psychological, or pastoral counseling and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

6. Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and we use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Pricing, renewal, and cancellation are controlled by your platform provider.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the billing period.
• Trials, if offered, convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Attempting to bypass, disable, or reverse engineer the Service.
• Using the Service in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
• Interfering with or disrupting the Service or its infrastructure.

8. Intellectual Property

We own the Service, including its design, content, and code. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. User Content and Feedback

When you provide onboarding answers, prayer preferences, or feedback, you grant us the right to use that information to operate and improve the Service. You retain ownership of your content.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account from within the app settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we need to protect the Service, users, or our operations.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pray Pause is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the Service or by other means.
